HOMEWARD Issue no. 1

$0.00

The creative intention of the HOMEWARD issue is to explore the sea's both historical yet spiritual weight on Black identity. As well as to acknowledge how, more specifically, the Ocean intertwines with our trauma and intersects our view of life as we know it today. Water is proven to hold memory. If the Sea had a voice, what would it sound like? By taking on this perspective, we seek to reflect on its critical role in the Transatlantic slave trade and how it has continued to influence the global Black experience. Through the contributions of writers, contemporary artists, and essayists.
